Atsu Sekhose
Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week opened to a brilliant runway show by Atsu Sekhose whose collection was inspired by the colours and culture of North Eastern India. The collection was edgy and modern and came in short skirts, dresses, shorts and trench coats. The designer used the fabrics from his homeland which were cotton, silk and wool woven by under-priveleged women of the North Eastern states. There were also cropped tops, halter-neck dresses and tunics with prints and came in a colour palette of red, electric blue, tan, cream and black. So far, Atsu’s collection remains our favourite of the Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week.

Gaurav Gupta
Gaurav Gupta’s collection was presented on Day 3 of the Wills Fashion Week. The designer used a surprising colour palette of white, primrose yellow, salmon pink, coral pink and cobalt blue. There were dramatic thigh slits, assymetric silhouttes, one-shoulder monochromatic dresses dominating the collection.

Manish Malhotra
Manish Malhotra’s Spring Summer 2013 collection seemed to have a darker theme as black dominated his collection. There were lehengas and dresses in black and orange (Parineeta below wears one), black and cream, black and white etc. We were glad to see some yellow and green lehengas and skirts and white and gold pleated kurtas to cheer up the mood.
