Debenhams launches its first store in Mumbai

Debenhams, the British department store, launched its first store in Mumbai on March 30, 2012 at Phoenix Market City, Kurla. This department store will be one of its kind in the country providing exclusive designer products at high street prices with a relaxed shopping experience.

Spread over 22,000 sq. ft., the store follows an open store format as per Debenhams international standards. With distinct and dedicated areas for womenswear, menswear, accessories, lingerie, childrenswear, cookshop, homeware and luggage; the department store is a first of its kind in the city.

Currently showcasing the Spring/Summer 2012 collections, Debenhams retails product lines from international designers across all categories, including John Rocha, Jasper Conran, Principles by Ben De Lisi, Betty Jackson, and Baker by Ted Baker. Another exclusive highlight of the store is the range of cookshop products by well known celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver, as well as the Indian designer collection from Rajesh Pratap Singh, crafted exclusively for Debenhams.

One of the key features of this store is that it offers bra fitting services, size guides and similar customer services found at other Debenhams outlets worldwide. UK sizes starting from 6 to 22 are available, depending on the designer and collection, offering shoppers a wide variety in clothing to suit every shape and style.
